HOw To Play
There are essentially 2 ways to play. You can ask to join an existing “Public Contest” or you can create your own contest. The person who creates a contest can make it either “Public” (anyone can join) or “Private” (players can only be invited to join.) The creator of the contest will also be responsible for deciding which football leagues (EPL, SA, LIGA, BUND, LIGUE1, UCL) to follow. For those fantasy contests that follow the EPL, LIGA, BUND, LIGUE1, SA, you will have the ability to choose “All EPL", "All LIGA", or “All SA” (predicting the scores of every match for every team in the season), “4 EPL”, "4 LIGA", and “4 SA” (predicting the scores of the matches played by the 4 chosen teams during a season), or “1 EPL”, "1 LIGA", and “1 SA” (predicted scores for only the games of the chosen team). Only existing players in a “Private” contest will be able to invite new players to a specific contest.
Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue1, Bundesliga Once you are added to a league, you will have to predict the scores of the game BEFORE the game starts. If the score is not entered before the game starts, you will get 0 points. If you predict the correct result, you will win 1 point. If you predict the correct score, you will be awarded 3 points. Tip – For those individuals that live in certain time zones (i.e. Pacific Standard Time), we recommend picking your scores before you go to bed because some of the games in Europe are at 4am or 6am Pacific Standard Time! This ensures that you will not forget to wake up to select your scores. Given that the lineups usually come out about 1 hour before the whistle, this will take some finesse.
Champions League The UEFA Champions League is slightly different from the EPL because of the Group Stages and Knockout Rounds. At the beginning of the season, before the tournament starts, you will select the 2 teams from each group that you predict will advance to the knockout stages. You will also predict the winner of the Champions League. Please predict carefully and wisely because once you make these predictions, they are FINALIZED. Once these predictions are made and entered, the user will NOT be allowed to change these choices. Give yourself enough time to make these selections before the UCL starts. A player then moves on to predicting the scores of the various Champions League games in the Group Stages. After the end of the group stages, you will be awarded 2 points for every team you picked that advanced into the knockout stages. At the end of the league, you will get an additional 6 points if you selected the correct team to win the UCL. After these preliminary selections are made, you will predict the scores of every game in the UCL. Your predictions MUST be made before the match starts. You will get 0 points if you fail to enter you score predictions before the game starts. For a correct result, you will get 1 point. For a correct score, you will get 3 points. For the first-leg of the knockout stages, scoring is similar to the above method, however for the second-leg, you will have to predict the score and also you must specify which team will advance. You will still get point for the correct result, 3 points for the correct score, and 1 extra point for predicting the correct team to advance. The score will be based on the end of regulation time and extra-time. The reason you have to make a selection for the team you feel will advance in the second leg, is in the case of penalty kicks. European Championship/World Cup The EURO is similar to the Champions League (UCL) because of the Group Stages and Knockout Rounds. However, it is different from the UCL in the Knockout Rounds because unlike the 2-Leg system of the UCL, the EURO has a 1-Leg system. At the beginning of the tournament, you will need to select 16 teams from the Group stages to advance to the Knockout Rounds. There are 6 Groups of 4 teams (24 total teams), so the user has to select at least 2 teams per group to advance and in 4 Groups the user will need to select 3 teams in order to have a total of 16. At the beginning you will also need to predict a winner. At the end of the Group Stages, you will get 2 points for each correct team you predicted to advance and 6 points if you predicted the correct team to win the tournament. Make these selections carefully and only when you are certain! Once these predictions are made, you will be unable to make changes. After these predictions are made, you will then be able to make match score predictions. The user will get 0 points for an incorrect result, 1 point for a CR, and 3 points for a CS. In the Knockout Rounds (Round of 16, Quaterfinal, Semifinal, and Final), in addition to a match score prediction, you will also need to predict the team to ADVANCE. This is to account for a PENALTY KICK scenario. The user will get 1 additional point for selecting the correct team to advance.
We recommend you ONLY join contests you are actually interested in participating in. This will prevent a congested homepage and unnecessary notifications. This allows you to concentrate on and dedicate yourself to a few contests.
